High Pressure Cell
This high pressure cell, compatible with PPMS Quantum Design is designed to electrical transport measurements under hydrostatic pressure of up to 2.4 GPa. Under PPMS environment we can access the lowest temperature of 1.8 K and the maximum magnetic field of 9 T.
Diamond Wire Saw
It consists of diamond embedded wire of diameter of 0.3 mm. We use it for sectioning our single crystals in particular crystallographic orientation for transport and magnetization measurements.
Box Furnaces
Our box furnaces are capable of going maximum temperature of 1200 °C. We use them for growing single crystals by metal flux method and annealing
Multiple-Zone Gradient Tube Furnaces
We use two-zone or three-zone tubular furnaces to grow single crystals using chemical vapor transport (CVT) method. These multiple heating zones can independently be set to different temperatures up to 1200 °C to generate a smooth temperature gradient. In most of these furnaces the working thermocouples are in sliding mode and can therefore be moved according to the length of the CVT reaction quartz tube.
Single-Zone Tube Furnace
We use the single zone tube furnace equipped with SiC heating elements, capable of a maximum temperature of 1350 °C for heating our samples under gaseous (argon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen) flow.
Centrifuge
We use this programmable Centrifuge (maximum 5000 rpm) for removing excess flux in the liquid form at high temperature while growing single crystals in metal metal flux.

PPMS, Dynacool, Quantum Design
Our Dynacool, Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS) has measurement options of Electrical Transport Option (ETO) with rotator, Vibrating Sample Magnetometry (VSM), Specific Heat, Torque Magnetometry, and Cryo-FMR. These measurements can be conducted across a temperature range of 1.8 K to 400 K and under magnetic fields up to ±9 T. The VSM option has the capability of up to 1000 K.
Oxford Teslatron PT
This is primarily used for transport measurements, extends to a minimum temperature of 300 mK. It also allows for the application of magnetic fields up to ±12 T.
Bridgman Furnace
This furnace is capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 1650 °C, making it suitable for growing single crystals which congruently. The melt can be pulled extremely slowly with precise movement and also the the option of rotation.
